Who Is Aidan Jones?
Ah, let's rewind the clock back to 2005, shall we? The time when I stumbled into the captivating world of photography. It all began with a borrowed camera that belonged to a friend's dad. It was love at first click! By 2006, I couldn't resist the urge any longer, and I invested in my very first DSLR. Trust me; it was a match made in photography heaven.
With my entry-level camera in hand, I embarked on an incredible journey. I was on a mission to learn and grow, so I soaked up every drop of knowledge I could find. My camera became an extension of my creativity, and every shot was a learning opportunity.
Then, in 2008, something magical happened. I found myself capturing the electrifying energy of the Aberdeen nightlife scene. Bars, nightclubs, and epic parties became my playground. It was there that I honed my photography skills, one shot at a time. The dance floors became my canvas, and the revelers my muses.
But it didn't stop there. Amidst the flashing lights and dancing, I made some fantastic contacts. These connections eventually led me to venture into the world of hotel photography. Picture me darting from one luxury suite to another, making hotels look like vacation dreams!
In this whirlwind of a journey, I met a character named Andy McLean. He's not just a photographer; he's a human laugh factory. Andy took me under his wing, quite literally, and introduced me to the world of wedding photography. Between his camera and his jokes, I learned the art and craft of capturing love stories that last a lifetime. I spent years photographing weddings, and it turned out to be the icing on the cake of my hotel photography business.
Amidst all this, I decided to diversify. Business headshots, elegant portraits, and product photography became my creative playground. But my crowning achievement was stepping into the national stage, photographing an advertising campaign for Phil Smith hair care products. I never thought my lens would take me there!
Fast forward to 2017, and it was time for another chapter. The call of real estate was strong. From that moment on, I've been capturing homes in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, making them look their absolute best. I found my groove in real estate, and I'm still dancing to that tune today.
And then came the curveball - COVID-19. But you know what they say about necessity being the mother of invention. During those times, I diversified my real estate offerings. Today, I'm not just a photographer; I'm a creator of media for the real estate market. From photographs to videos, I've got it all covered.
So, that's my photography journey, in a nutshell. It's been a wild ride, and it's not over yet. I look forward to capturing your special moments and properties, making each shot a piece of art. Let's make some picture-perfect memories together! 📸
